Obviously, we love white...but every now and then, we love to experiment with vibrant pops of color. Especially when the theme is as fun as a vintage circus! A bride contacted Vintage Whites Weddings about inspiration for a vintage circus, and rather than send a Pinterest board, we decided to style our own!
We styled this shoot, and Jeremy + Alicia Brown shot all of the photos.
We didn't want to do the typical circus shoot, and use stars, red, white, etc. We wanted to do something a little more bohemian, utilizing jewel tones and velvet.
Love this tangerine chandelier! Spray paint can transform the ordinary into something new and fun.
The trays and tins were thrifted from Montana and Utah. The hunt for these special items to make all of the colors pop was so much fun, and so affordable!
The 'big top' tent was made using a 10x10 canopy with a hand-painted striped and scalloped top. Pleated damask fabric adds texture and color for a lounge area.
Cakes by Sweet Notions looked so wonderful against the yellow vintage "sunbeams" attached from a lampshade...
For the focal point of the dinner table, we went with gold candlesticks & burgundy tapers. Simple and so reminiscent of a 1920s circus. Lights, gawdy decor, & rich colors.
We used thrifted mismatched plates with gold trim for the table setting...it turned out so beautiful! Such a fun shoot to style, and to see come to life after so much late night texting and planning!! Thanks to Vanessa for her hard work putting it all together, and to Alicia Brown for capturing it so perfectly!
