Vintage Whites Market: July 2014

Just a few short weeks ago, we wrapped up our first summer market of 2014 in Somers, Montana! The weather was perfect...just the right amount of overcast and breeze, and a clear view of the mountains! We had a handful of the sweetest girls from Canada who decided to show up at 5:30 AM to stand in line!! That gives us butterflies to know they love the market that much. Such dedication!! Little things like that keep us going year after year. We say it all the time, but we really do have the best customers and the best vendors.

If you are just joining us on the blog (or if you've been with us for awhile and didn't know our history), we want to stop and give you a little history of the Vintage Whites Market! Vanessa and I have known each other since we were about 12 years old! We grew up together, moved different places, and ultimately found ourselves in Kalispell, Montana! Even though we grew up together, we weren't super close until our mutual love for all things vintage solidified the bond. It's crazy how well we know each other now, and it's so fun being in business with someone who is strong where you are weak, and vice versa.

We decided to try out a monthly sale, and got about five vendors together in Vanessa's garage and driveway. We had no idea what to expect, but the day of our first market...we had a small line of shoppers!! It was so much fun seeing them find great stuff for great prices. We were officially hooked. The first year, we did six markets! By the last market, we had doubled our vendors and customers, and were looking for a new venue. We outgrew Vanessa's garage in six months!

The next year, we moved to the field just down the road in Somers, Montana. That's where we've been for our summer markets ever since! We have also added an indoor Christmas show in Kalispell, Montana, an indoor show in Salt Lake City, Utah, and in January 2015 we will hold our first Colorado show! We are completely blown away by the support of the communities we host markets in. Anyway, that's a little background on the markets...it's so fun to revisit where we started!!

Kelli Trontel took some more FABULOUS pictures for us at this past market!! Brace yourselves...there are a LOT of photos coming up!! We are so thankful for Kelli and her hard work at our markets. She gets there early and stays late! ;) Make sure to check out her blog, and you can find her on Instagram HERE!

If you are interested in being a vendor, or have questions about our markets, head to our website and click on apply! You can fill out an application online and we'll review it! We would love to hear from you!!
